Hi, I'm Lois and I'll be keeping you apprised with the news as I get it! I hope you enjoy the posts. I'll be adding them weekly, so, keep your eye on this spot! The most current information will always be on top! ~ Lois

April 14th, 2006, was a very exciting date for us. That was the inaugural entry of “Travel Up-Dates” for Dr. Shaye’s website. We, Dr. Shaye and his staff, Lois Mallinder and Shari Benson, have felt for a long time that sharing his adventures and experience on the road would be fun and interesting for the thousands of friends and recipients of the wonderful gift of healing that he has shared across the country. You will get to know us all better as we go along.

Dr. Shaye’s biography is on the website, as is “Meet Lois” ~ that’s me! I’ll be keeping the Travel entries up to date, and you may even get a call from me to arrange the bookings. Shari lives in Monroe, Louisiana and handles the bookkeeping and all the important detailed paperwork that is necessary to make the trips a success. We hope you will enjoy sharing his travels and we look forward to hearing from you with your comments and we will work diligently to arrange a visit in your area when you are ready.

6-3-07

We had a great response from Unity of Oak Park, Il. I last visited them in September 1996. Thanks so much to John, Gretchen and Rev's Helice Greene and Richard Billings. Rev. Richard said he would try to contact some of the local sports teams to tell them what I had already done with about 60 professional athletes in other cities. Thank you Richard.

5-27-07

I had a great turnout for my third visit to Unity of Cedar Rapids, Ia. Thanks to Rose and Phil for their help on Sunday and Rev. Thelma for the fellowship and dinner I also enjoyed meeting the large male bullfrog someone placed outside my RV on Sunday (my major in grad school was wildlife biology, so I enjoy meeting my wild friends).

~*~*~

5-20-07

I had a good visit with The Center for Spiritual living in St. Louis, Mo. Thanks to all the people who contributed to make my second visit there as pleasant as it was. There was also a Gold's Gym nearby with great hours which always helps.

Footnotes: yes, you can tell the sex of a bull frog from the outside. The circle behind the eye is called the tympanum which is its hearing organ.  In the male it's about 3 times the size of the eye, whereas in the female it's about the same size as the eye.

Dr. Shaye’s Animal Rescue

I'm here in southern California, and as you know, when I've already worked out in the gym if I still have time for other things I like to hike in mountains and deserts. A couple of days ago I went hiking all the way to the top of the mountains north of Palm Springs. On the way down I started hearing a dog barking. This went on and on and I finally decided to check it out as maybe somebody fell and the dog was trying to get help. As I got lower on the mountain trail I reached a point that the bark wasn't as clear so I figured that was the closest location to the dog.

I thought if someone is in trouble I need to get there as soon as possible, so I left the trail and came down the side of the mountain. This was a little scary as there was lots of loose rocks and gravel. Needless to say, I fell twice but with only mild cuts and bruises. I got down to the desert floor and headed to the barking as quick as I could. When I finally found the dog he was on a long chain wrapped around some rocks, and he was barking quite aggressively.

I kept my distance and talked to her as I circled looking to find her owner. No luck. I thought there was two possibilities. The owner brought her with him and tied her up and then went hiking up the mountain, or the dog had gotten free from its home and wandered out here until the chain got caught on rocks (I couldn't tell if the chain was deliberate or accidental in its wrapped around position). Not knowing what else to do I left the dog hopping for the best.  I thought about that dog and decided to go back there again two days later. I brought with me extra water, a piece of sausage, three energy bars and gloves. I went back to the location which was about 4-5 miles from the road in the desert.

I didn't hear anything till I was almost there and then I heard the dog barking but also with other sounds of distress. As I came up to her I started talking to her and getting my backpack off. I had brought a bowl to put water in. I went to about three feet of her all the while talking softly saying, “I'm here and I got you some water and food.”

I put the water in the dish and backed away about 10 feet, but initially she didn't touch the water. Finally after about five minutes,

she drank the water. I then eased back and placed a piece of sausage on the ground. This was wolfed down. I kept giving her water a bowl at a time till she had drunk all of the quart bottle that I had brought. I then called 911 and told them that this was a non emergency call and they gave me the number for the sheriff's dept.

They asked for directions and I kept the cell phone on. After an hour or more they finally decided that I was too far out in the desert for their vehicle to come to me. I asked them what should I do, but they had no answer and animal rescue was closed till Monday (this was Sunday). I told the deputy I would try to get the dog loose (I put on my gloves in case she tried to bite) and see if she would let me walk her back to my car parked by the highway about four miles away.

I got the chains untangled from the rocks but she didn't want to move.  I didn't feel comfortable with the thought of carrying her as she looked part Rottweiler, but finally she started moving. (I also thought she may be too weak to walk all the way to the road after being stuck out there for at least two days without food or water and cold night in the 30's).

I stopped frequently and gradually fed her my remaining three energy bars and my other bottle of water. We made it back to my car and I got her with some difficulty to get in my car in the front seat with the window down (she was shivering a lot and I thought I needed to get her  warmer). I called the sheriff's dept. again and they said they would tell a deputy and I told them where I was and kept the phone on. So we sat in the front seat and she seemed to be relaxing so I was able to close most of the windows to warm her up. I got a novel out to read and waited for the deputy.

An hour later with no deputy I decided to take her back to the mobile home park with me. I went and told the manager what happened and she said she would help. She got a mat for the dog to lie on and a drink bowl dispenser and a big bowl of dog food. I supplied some big towels and two sweatshirts.

We made it through the night although when I checked on her at about 1:00 and 4:00 am. She had all the clothing off and she was lying by it shivering. Both times I wrapped her back up in the towels and sweatshirts and finally when I checked her at 7:00 am she asleep still wrapped up. I called animal services and they came at 10:30 am and took the dog and said they would try to find out how she got out there if it wasn't an accident. (I decided to give the dog a name: Tina).

I've done lots of healings over the years on animals but this was my first animal rescue.

1-1-07  New Year Thoughts:

Dr . Shaye doesn't believe in Resolutions, he suggests that if you want to change anything, i.e., your health, a diet program, exercise or anything you'd like to start, to just go ahead and start it now, even if it's something as small as walking 20 feet. Or if it's a diet, start by just eating an apple tonight!

It sets it in motion to your subconscious that you mean business.

11/2/06  addendum:
I had a great visit at The Church of Truth in Pasadena, California. There was a wonderful turnout on Sunday for the workshop and for the private healing sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Gary was very helpful as was Rev. Donna and all the other volunteers who made my visit run smoothly. I hope to visit with you again in the future when I am back in the area.

I had the next week off so I visited with my sister and relatives in San Diego and checked out their wonderful zoo and took a tour of the city.

The week after that I was once again at the Ahiah Center in Pasadena, California Thank you Margaret and Debra for all your help. I had some free time so I went north on Lake Ave. and went hiking up the mountain on Wednesday. When all my work is up to date and I have already worked out at the gym, the next thing I love to do is hike up mountains. The temperature was perfect, in the 80's with a clear sky so the view was spectacular.

I will shortly be in Florida for about 35 days so will really enjoy that.

11/2/06

I had a wonderful repeat stop at the Hi Desert Church of Religious Science in Apple Valley, Ca.

This was my second time here. The first visit was way back in  Jan. 1999. Rev. Millie took care of everything. Thank you so much. She also found a place for me to park my RV so I could have power at Don & Bea Schultz' house. They were very accommodating and thanks for the dinner one night. We had a good turnout for the service, the workshop and the healing sessions. Thanks to everybody who helped. I look forward to see you again when I'm back in the area.

11/1/06

Hello again, I had a wonderful experience in Ridgecrest, California. This is the first time I have tried this type visit, but it worked so well I am sure to try it again soon.    Regina Horgan had attended one of my presentations at a Unity Church and asked if I would be willing to come to their town and speak to some of her friends. Since I usually speak at churches I told her let's see how the schedule unfolds and I'll get back to you. Well the schedule stayed open between Medford, Oregon and Apple Valley, California, so I agreed to come and speak there on a Wednesday night and then do private sessions on Thursday.

The turnout for both was fantastic. We had wall to wall people on Wednesday night in Regina's home and 32 private healing sessions on Thursday. This shows the potential when there is a sincere interest. I will make the following statement. "If you are an individual who wants me to come to your town and speak and do private healing sessions, even if it's not a church, contact me and I'll see if the logistics can be worked out."
They also found a way for me to work out in town at the Navy base which was very well equipped.   Thank you Regina for all the hard work you put in to make this stop a reality.

10/16/06

My 226th Unity Church in Medford, Oregon was a wonderful stop for a small church. They had a n excellent turnout for the workshop and the private sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thanks to Rev. Robert and Shula for their assistance in making this visit go this smoothly. There was a Gold's Gym in town but Superior Health Club was a lot closer, had better hours and was better equipped. Thank you Shula for taking me to Barnes & Noble on Sunday and Hometown Buffet during the week.

10/14/06

Hello again, My first visit with Unity Church of Today in Mt. Vernon, Washington  was a pleasant surprise for my 225th different Unity church. They had a good turnout for a small church both at their workshop and for the private healing sessions Monday and Tuesday. Thanks to everybody who contributed to make this a wonderful experience. It was nice having lunch on Sunday with members at a buffet restaurant. There was a nice 24 hour fitness club that let me workout for half price and thanks for providing me the input that there was an RV park near the church as it was not listed on Map-quest.

~*~*~

10/8/06

Unity Church of Edgewood, Washington had a wonderful turnout for their size church both at the workshop and for private healing sessions. I think a lot was added to the visit by the Minister's sharing before I arrived there. He wrote a wonderful letter in their newsletter, sharing his healing  from a number of years back. Thanks also to Rev. Steve for inviting me and being willing to share his account of the healing he had years back. I love doing what I do but I can't speak at any church unless the ministers open the door for me. Thanks Steve for also helping figure out how to get power to my RV so I could park at the church.

9/28/06

My visit to Unity Church in Lynnwood, Washington was my fourth visit with them and the first since they moved to their beautiful new building. I last spoke there in October 2000. Nannette, Betty, Jerry and Rev. Ann took real good care of me during my visit. Thank you Mary-Alice for all the thoughtful things you brought me during the week and for inviting me to dinner on Wednesday to meet your other Minister friend.

Although I think we differed on philosophy we still had an engaging discussion. It was great visiting Lynnwood again as they have both my health clubs in the area:  Gold's and Bally and the Gold's Gym in Mill Creek was open 24 hours Monday thru Thursday which is always nice if I get ambitious. Also there were lots of Starbucks around which is my one treat I allow myself. Thanks to everyone who made the visit so pleasant.

~*~*~

9/25/06

It was wonderful to visit old friends again at West Sound Unity in Bremerton, Wa. after not being there since August, 2002. Rev. Max Lafser, I have spoken at his churches at Unity of Sedona, Arizona, Unity of Walnut Creek, California and Unity of Bellevue, Washington, so it was nice seeing him again. Margie Hyatt was the administrator and was here when I last visited and she was extremely helpful in making sure everything was in place and I knew how to find the new places in town.  The health Club was still there and they had added a Starbucks which was great.

~*~*~

9/10/06

My first visit to Unity Of Grants Pass, Or was a wonderful success. Thanks to Rev. Doris Roser, Tracy , and Betty for all their assistance. They were very accommodating joining me at a local buffet J J Norths and getting me passes to the YMCA. The workshop  on Sat, the service on Sun and the private sessions during the week had a great turnout. The weather was perfect so I even went hiking on Thurs when I was done and had some free time.

~*~*~

8/16/06

My fourth visit New Thought Unity in Cincinnati was wonderful again. Many of the people shared their wonderful healing responses with me, counting on them to follow through with written statements so that we can include them in the next edition of the "Little Book of Miracles". I couldn't have done the intense number of healings without the much appreciated help from Rev. Doris, George, Tom, Bob and especially Peggy and Sarah. Thank you all and the long trip to come and be with you was well worth the effort. I look forward to visiting you again down the road.

My visit to Unity Center of Fletcher, NC was a wonderful return after nine years. The workshop and private healing sessions were extremely well attended.  I was only able to the get to the Asheville Racket Club on the Saturday of my arrival, the week flew by as I had to leave on Thursday for the long drive to the airport.  Nice people took the time to thank me and say "please don't wait another nine years till you come back again". I agree. Peter and Jana Weed were wonderful and gracious hosts at their beautiful home, even their two dogs and one cat were very hospitable. A big thanks to the volunteers that helped on Sunday and during the week,  it made the very busy schedule move very efficiently. Thanks to you all.
Bye for now. Saul

7/18/06

I’ve been really busy flying back and forth across country, so this update is a little behind time. I don’t often fly in for a church this size, but I had a feeling this would be a worthwhile visit and I was so right, the visit to The Unity Church in Pickerington Ohio was a wonderful stop.

The church really demonstrated what was possible when effort is put forth to let the community know of my visit and volunteers are in place to help make the workshop and private sessions go smoothly. While this is not a requirement, these volunteers helped all week long, keeping sessions moving along and certainly deserve a big thank you.

My host, Jo White was extremely hospitable even keeping the house cooler than I’m sure she was comfortable with in order to make me more comfortable and at ease. She helped with my meals even though she knew I would prepare my own. So my extreme thanks to all who made this such a wonderful stop. And Thank you Joanne Blum for inviting me to your church.

There was a Bally Health Club in Columbus which I used on Saturday and a Cracker Barrel restaurant where we met others for dinner and a Starbucks at the Kroger store. In other words EVERYTHING went extremely well for the whole visit.

6/22/06

Hello again. My visit to Las Cruces, NM was nice after a eight year absence. The stop was rather sparse but it was nice to visit sunny  south NM with some beautiful mountains in the background. The city has changed somewhat with the addition of Gold's Gym and Golden Corral so that was an added bonus.

The week after Las Cruces was a first time visit with Christ Unity Church in Albuquerque which was my 220 different Unity church. It was a busy, wonderful stop. I want to especially thank Emily and Lea for all their help they provided during my visit. It is very hard to have a very busy successful stop without helpers at the church. Thank you. It was an added bonus to have lunch with Steve Echols at Furr's cafeteria Sunday before the workshop. Albuquerque also had a Gold's Gym and a Golden Corral and a Starbuck's all within easy driving distance. Wonderful!

~*~*~

5/27/06

Unity of Santa Fe had a wonderful turnout. I haven't spoken here since 1998. This time there were over 70 sessions for healing which is terrific for this size church. Rev. Batchelor said the workshop attendance was very good for them and numerous people were already sharing some wonderful responses with their healing sessions. Thanks to Peg  and Kristine for all their assistance.  I had an RV breakdown on the way in to Santa Fe so I called a lot of friends and asked for their prayers as it looked like a cracked engine block. The prayers worked; it was a cooling problem with the radiator and fan systems. It was fixed and the engine is now running at the coolest it's been since I got it. Thank you all and Thank you God.

5/18/06

My visit with Unity of West Texas in Odessa was a wonderful success. Rev Jim
& Carol Sims were wonderful hosts. I parked at their house indoors in a big
garage which was wonderful since there was some bad weather. Rev. Jim said
he initially was hesitant to invite me but thought with a joint effort
with the Center For Spiritual Living in Midland, TX maybe it could work. It
did.
We had a very good attendance at the Sunday service at Unity in
Odessa, a wonderful turnout at the Center For Spiritual Living in Midland,
TX and then a very good participation with the private healing sessions Mon
in Odessa and Tuesday in Midland. Then as an added bonus there was a Gold's
Gym, a Golden Corral and a Starbucks so all my needs were met. Rev. Jim and
Carol invited me stop in whenever I'm in the area in the future which is
great as west Texas is a big area.

Hello friends,

Lois is taking a much needed vacation and this is Bekki dropping in to help Dr. Shaye update his travel adventures. Here's the note from him for May 7th:

It was nice visiting Abilene again. This was my third visit there. The last time was eight years ago. There were some nice changes: they have a new building; there's a Golds gym, Golden Corral and Starbucks in town and close to the church. The minister said we had a good turnout for the workshop and private healing sessions.

That's the news from Saul today! Have a lovely weekend, all!

Bekki

It's May already, this is the third edition of the travel up date and I have a big smile on my face as I remember back to the conversation with Shirley at the Unity of Boerne many weeks ago. They would love to have Dr. Shaye but she was concerned that their church was just too small. I assured her that if she let people know Saul would be there, they would come. Her enthusiasm was shared by the congregation and she and they can be proud of their efforts. Dr. Shaye just left Boerne, Texas, happy with the success of the visit. Here's the note from him:

My visit to the little church in Boerne, Texas was a delightful surprise. They had a wonderful turnout for the Sunday service, and the workshop and  39 people had healing sessions. That's terrific for their size. Thanks to Jann for inviting Bill and I over to enjoy of a great dinner and fellowship. Thanks to Sue and all the many people who assisted in making the stop a memorable one.

It has been a real weather experience this leg of the trip.
Storms, lightening and worst of all the hail Thought I was going to have some windows broken out, but somehow the motor-home made it through the storms and I have just arrived in Abilene and some nicer weather. I'll be in Odessa May 7th.

It's been confirmed that Saul will be at
Unity Church at Grants Pass, Saturday, August 26th, 2006, pass the word folks!

Talk to you next week.
Blessings to all

Lois

Dr. Shaye is working with her as I write to confirm the date, we'll keep you up to date on this.

Remember, we are booking the schedule for June, 2006 thru December 2007. Dr. Shaye circles the country every 18 months to 2 years ... he'll be near you sometime in that time frame. When you decide you want to schedule a date, give me a call at 239-454-1044, fax me at 239-454-1043 or email

April 21, 2006 ~ Note from Saul on the road!!

We had a good turnout at the A.R.E. Center in Houston.  Thanks to Ed, Carl and Judith for their assistance while I was there, plus thanks to the other volunteers for their help. Thanks for letting me stay at the center for two weeks as I also did healings at the Religious Science Church. It was nice to attend the Thursday night Search For God study group, which I haven't attended since I led a Search For God group in Monroe, Louisiana in the mid 70's.

A number of people shared significant responses to the healing sessions. This is something I really encourage people to do. When you have something dramatic happen with your healing,  it is important to share that information with others. That's how you claim your healing. Further, if you have the time, please write a note to my office, Lois is putting together another "Book of Miracles" and with your permission, it will go into that book so that others can understand and see that there is hope and possibilities if they choose to accept it.

This stop at the A.R.E. Center in Houston may become a yearly thing as we already decided to schedule Houston for next March for a third year in a row.

NUTRITION: EAT LIKE A PRIMATE !!!

All animals in the world have ideal foods for them to eat. Lions are carnivores and therefore meat or flesh is their ideal diet. Cows are herbivores and their ideal diet is grass. What are humans? Humans are primates and primates are frugivores. Their ideal diet is fruit. Their teeth, their intestines, their enzymes all are perfectly suited to ingest fruit.

If fruit is the ideal food for humans, why then is it listed in so many areas as being fattening? Fruits are GOOD carbohydrates and shouldn't be grouped with white flour and white sugar, which should be designated as refined carbohydrates. Fruits are usually mixed with proteins and starches and thereby held in the digestive tract, delaying digestion. Fruit as a sugar should be eaten by itself. Fruit on an empty stomach can be digested in 30 minutes.

A primate in the wild would eat all the fruit it wanted, till it was satisfied or full. I don't advise you to do this ... at least not at the start. Most of us can't do that because it would probably lead to diarrhea the next day. But if we gradually allow ourselves to eat bigger and bigger fruit meals (no cheating .. no other food types), we could eat like a primate in the wild. Besides eating the perfect human food, that is not fattening when eaten by itself, we may find our energy soaring and even more important for a lot of people ... we may find that elimination becomes quite easy without the strain that most civilized people experience.

Therefore, my advise to you is gradually eat more fruit by itself until you are able to eat full fruit meals on an empty stomach, without digestive upsets. MAKE FRUIT A MAJOR PORTION OF YOUR DAILY DIET.
Yours for better health,
Dr. Saul Shaye

Travel Update: April 14th, 2006:

Saul sent me a message this morning from Austin Texas. He’s the first to admit he is no typist and finding time to sit down at the computer makes it even more difficult, however, he wanted me to pass along the following information. His words:

I had a nice visit with Unity of Edgewater, Florida. Rev. Nancy really stirred up people from Daytona and Ormond Beach churches. I had a good sized crowd at the service, workshop and private sessions on Monday.

Unity Church of Venice, Florida, had a terrific turnout for the healing sessions. Thanks to Judy White for all the work she did and thanks for the volunteers that helped. It was a nice change to have their Wednesday night healers work on me. Thanks.

Unity Church of Sarasota had a great turnout for the workshop and the private healing sessions. Thanks to Corey, Sally and all the many volunteers who helped. Thank you Sally for bringing me my favorite drink, a venti sugar-free vanilla breve latte from Starbucks. A special thanks to Rev’s Don and Dorothy Ann for the hospitality and for inviting me to stay at their house while my RV was being worked on. Thanks also to James and Connie Duncan and Matt and Marilyn Burgess for having me come to their homes and having dinner. I’m not always available to join people at their homes, but when I am, it’s a very nice change from a quick dinner and sleep.

Unity of Montgomery, Alabama, was a late addition to my schedule. Thanks to Lois for contacting them and letting them know I would be in the area and a date was available. It was a pleasant surprise when a small group at the workshop produced an almost full Monday schedule of private healing sessions. Many thanks to Stacia, Mike and Dorothy for their help and fellowship. It was nice joining them at one of my favorite restaurants. Special thanks to Dorothy for picking up my lost suit jacket and sending it to me.

That’s all for now! I look forward to a quiet week here in Austin, Texas, and then on to Unity of Boerne, Texas, on April 23rd. Bye for now!
